Happy New Year!

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

As one year ends and another begins it is a time for reflection. 2006 was a wonderful year for Angels for Hope. We continue to grow and I look forward to seeing if we hit our goal of touching 65,000 lives in 2006. (I have my fingers crossed) :) We were featured in a few news articles, were featured on Fox news and tried a few new modes of advertising. We hope 07 will open new doors for us as well.

I wanted to thank you for being a part of the Angels for Hope community.

We wish you all a great year in 2007, full of love, hope and joy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hugs,

Cindy and Mary

December – Angel of the Month

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

We would like you to meet our December Angel of the month, Linda Deeter of Coldspring, Texas.

 Linda Deeter

Linda loves to paint as you see in her picture :) She also enjoys gardening, photography, knitting, scrapbooking and sewing baby doll wardrobes to donate to Child Protection Services. Linda has been married to her best friend for 40 years and has 2 grown sons and one spoiled cat. And let’s not forget one grandcat and grandfish! lol

A quote from Linda “You have not really lived today until you’ve done something for someone who cannot pay you back”.

As you can see from Linda’s quote she gives daily of herself. Not only to Angels for Hope but to other charities as well. She has been with AFH from the beginning and sends out her lovely Angels each and every week. With Linda’s help we have grown and hope to continue each year.  With her dedication each week we are able to reach out and touch so many of those in need. Thanks Linda!

We hope you enjoyed meeting Linda as we are very proud to call her an Angel.

Hugs, Cindy

We’re Back!

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

Good morning!  Did you miss us? We had some technical difficulties and were out of commission for 3 or 4 days. Which means we were unable to send out our Christmas greetings and for that we are very sorry. We hope you all had a glorious Christmas and were able to spend it with family and friends. Me? I got to go visit my dad which is always great..living so far apart we only see each other about 3 times a year. But with the blessing of email we stay in touch daily :)

So forgive us for being late but please accept our heartfelt wishes that you had a wonderful Christmas.

Hugs,

Crochet Tip

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Help with yarn storage?

Store your skeins in a bookcase bought in a thrift store. It makes a colorful display that brightens up a room & is easy to see what you have in inventory.

Last weeks word scramble:  RBETEL = Treble

New word scramble: RPAEET  Good Luck!

Angels for Hope

Thank you for the wonderful thoughtfulness I have received many angels in the mail. Thank you for the touch of kindness. I start my Chemo Thursday and it will last till mid March. I plan to decorate a Christmas tree with these angels. I wasn’t sure I would do Christmas this year but now I am looking forward to it. The angels always seem to arrive at the right day that I need a ray of hope. Thank you. Carole
