We would like you to meet our July Angel of the month, Diane Limoges of Fordyce, Nebraska.

Diane Limoges

As well as crocheting Angels, Diane does all sorts of crafts. She knits, embroiders, quilts and sews. If that isn’t enough to keep her busy she also loves to read and work in her garden. She loves trying to grow new and/or different plants and flowers. She has flowers all throughout her house.

Diane has been married for 25 years and has two children, Amanda and Jed. She also has been blessed with a grandson, Darren who is 5 months old.

Diane’s favorite holiday is Christmas because she loves getting together with her wonderful large family! She has 12 brothers and and sisters! Can you imagine the love and joy when they are all together!

A small quote from Diane herself:

“I love that something so simple can help so many people.  Though I prefer doing so anonymously there are times I would like to be a fly on the wall so that I could see their first reaction.”

As you can tell Diane stays very busy. We are so blessed she shares her talents with us at Angels for Hope!  Thanks Diane, we couldn’t do it without you!

Angels for Hope

A Minister was walking down the street when he came upon a group of about a dozen boys, all of them between 10 and 12 years of age.
The group had surrounded a dog. Concerned lest the boys were hurting the dog, he went over and asked “What are you doing with that dog?”
One of the boys replied, “This dog is just an old neighborhood stray. We all want him, but only one of us can take him home. So we’ve decided that whichever one of us can tell the biggest lie will get to keep the dog.”
Of course, the reverend was taken aback. “You boys shouldn’t be having a contest telling lies!” he exclaimed. He then launched into a ten minute sermon against lying, beginning, “Don’t you boys know it’s a sin to lie,” and ending with, “Why, when I was your age, I never told a lie.”
There was dead silence for about a minute. Just as the reverend was beginning to think he’d gotten through to them, the smallest boy gave a deep sigh and said, “All right, give him the dog. ;) :D :o :P

June – Angel of the Month

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

We would like you to meet our June Angel of the month, Judy Methvin of Shaltom City, Texas.

Judy Methvin

As well as crocheting Angels, butterflies and smiley faces, Judy also enjoys many other crafts. She quilts, knits and does plastic canvas. She has been awarded seven blue ribbons and best of show for her crocheting at the state fair level. She has also sold some Texas landscape oil paintings. Sounds like Judy stays busy doesn’t it? Well that’s not all, she also enjoys writing and is finishing up a children’s book.

Judy will be married 30 years July 29!  They have a  precious five pound mini-dachshund named Bonnie Elisabeth. She is two years old  and says, “Mama!”
Judy’s favorite holiday is Christmas and she collects music boxes, bells, and Willow figures.
A small quote from Judy herself:

“Angels for Hope helps heal the hurts of life by prayers of the  makers and the love put in each stitch of the beautiful angels,  smileys, butterflies. When Mama went to be with the  Lord in 2006, the angels and butterflies we received have been and  still are comforting and beautiful.”
As you can tell Judy is a very loving and giving person. She is truly a gift to all of us here at AFH and we are blessed to call her an Angel! Thanks Judy, we love ya!
Hugs,
