Reasons to send Angels

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Good morning Angel lovers!

Did you ever wonder who receives our Angels, butterflies and smiley faces? We get requests for many reasons. Obvious reasons are illness. Anyone who is battling a disease would benefit from an Angel. Although our Angel cannot cure an illness or disease she can help remind someone there is always hope and they are never alone.

But illness is not the only struggles we face in life. Losing a loved one can be  a very difficult thing to handle. Going through a divorce is sometimes almost too much for one to bear. Being a caregiver to a family member makes some feel so alone. An Angel by their side is sometimes the ray of hope they need.

If you know of such a person in your life, please do not forget you can request an Angel for Hope in moments. Many times in life the smallest gesture has the biggest results.

Please help us spread the word!

Hugs,

Cindy, Mary and Ruth

Morning Angels lovers!

I thought I would give you an update on our progress for the year. Last month, July 2007, we sent out 3,119 Angels, 2,923 butterflies and 147 smiley faces for a total of 38,918 items in 2007 so far. Isn’t that awesome! At the rate we are sending this year we should be able to hit our goal of 65,000 items mailed. Fingers crossed!

For those of you who are not aware Angels for Hope has a Mille Club! It is our way of recognizing those volunteers who have sent out 1,000 or more items for AFH. That is quite a feat…what dedication it takes to become a member of this elite club.

Today we just added a new member, Linda Deeter. Congratulations Linda!  You may visit our Mille Club page here if you would like to see the other members of the Mille Club

Trivia Question for Week 1 in August

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Last weeks trivia question was:

“On July 4, 1848, President James Knox Polk laid the cornerstone of a famous structure. Name that structure.”

Answer: Washington Monument

The name drawn as the winner was R A Schneider. Congratulations! You should have received an email from me, so that I might get your mailing address. Elois, your magnet is in the mail, hope you enjoy.

This weeks question is: The first traffic light which displayed the words STOP and MOVE was installed in what city and state in 1914?

Just send me your guess and good luck!
